Over the past year, CRIHSS Foundation has emerged as a pivotal force in Cameroon’s health system strengthening efforts. Through its flagship initiative—the Integrated Transformational and Sustainable Sample Transport (INTRASSAT) project—the Foundation has successfully built a nationwide transport network for critical health commodities, particularly focusing on viral load, tuberculosis samples and results.
In partnership with Cameroon’s Ministry of Public Health and with support from CDC under the PEPFAR program, CRIHSS Foundation has extended its reach to all ten regions of Cameroon, with a strong emphasis on rural and underserved areas. We have trained transport agents who ensure safe and timely delivery of diagnostic samples and test results, thereby reducing turnaround times and improving clinical decision-making.
Beyond its core focus, CRIHSS has demonstrated agility and responsiveness by transporting other urgent medical commodities between testing facilities, health centers, and hospitals. This logistical support has proven invaluable during emergencies and routine operations alike.
Strong collaboration with the Ministry of Health has not only enhanced sample referral systems but also contributed to broader goals such as the distribution of healthcare reagents to all the 10 regions in Cameroon. CRIHSS Foundation continues to be a trusted partner in Cameroon’s journey toward a resilient and inclusive health system.
